Tongue Tie Release

  • Tongue tie is a band of body tissue attaching the underside of the tongue to the floor of mouth. 
  • This can lead to impaired mobility of the tongue which in turn will cause problems with feeding and development of speech. 
  • Tongue tie release is the procedure wherein the band is surgically cut to improve the tongue mobility.

Tonsillectomy

  • Tonsils (Palatine tonsils) are normal body tissue which are a part of bodies immune system that protect the body from certain infections.
  • Very commonly these tonsils can themselves become the seat of infection, presenting with symptoms of throat pain, pain during swallowing, cough and fever.
  • Repeated infections can be debilitating for the patient and also contribute to indiscriminate use of anti-biotics. Also, increase in size of these
  • tonsils can lead to problems such as Snoring or sleep apnoea.
  • Tonsillectomy is the surgical removal of the tonsils by Blunt dissection and snare method or by Co-ablation.

Adenoidectomy

  • Adenoids are similar form of tissue as palatine tonsils located behind the nose.
  • Repeated infections of the adenoids with increase in their size can lead to pain, runny nose, mouth breathing, snoring and sleep apnoea.
  • Furthermore, long standing obstruction due to adenoids can lead to problems in the facial and also overall development of the child.
  • Adenoidectomy is the procedure of surgically removing the adenoids endoscopically by co-ablation or by Curettage

Micro-laryngeal surgeries

  • The Voice box (Larynx) or particularly the Vocal cords can be affected by a range of disorders (like Vocal nodules, polyps,
  • Reinke’s oedema, vocal cord palsy, cancer of larynx) which lead to hoarseness of voice or difficulty in breathing.
  • Micro-laryngeal surgeries are procedures performed through a Microscope to treat these disorders using laser or cold steel instruments.

Laser Wide Excision of Oral lesions

  • Various lesions pre-cancerous or cancer can affect the oral cavity.
  • These lesions need to be first diagnosed on biopsy or need to excised directly if too small.
  • These lesions can be excised using Laser with lesser bleeding and better healing post-surgery compared to conventional methods.
